Nominated by their professors and advisors, our Winter 2025 trip was one of the most student-diverse of our US society. Within our group of 25 students, we had the following heritages represented; African American, Arab, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Russian, Salvadoran, Somali, and Tunisian.

Our Cedar Rapids and Iowa international exchange group was the final farewell and thank you to President Xi and all of China from the exchange groups. Likewise, as we arrived in Beijing on the night of December 31st, 2024, our Iowa group was the first of all invited exchange students for appreciation to President Xi and the people of China as we arrived in Beijing on the night of December 31st, 2024. Our students woke up to a new year full of appreciation for this opportunity.
