At a dinner welcoming US diplomats and organization leaders in 2023, President of China Xi Jinping announced a program promising 50,000 students an opportunity to learn utilizing their academic infrastructure. Students were invited to engage in cultural exchange with the Chinese community.

This video is the trip of the Cedar Rapids and Des Moines group and their time in Tangshan, Shanxi and one day in Beijing. They were invited by Tangshan Language School. The host set up an itinerary in which they showed them art, culture, museums, and performances. They were treated to a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet daily.
